Julie Doyle assisted Adriana’s goal in the 32nd minute to give Orlando a 2–0 lead during the Pride’s 2–1 victory over the North Carolina Courage.
The sequence began when Marta collected the ball on her left foot in midfield. Recognizing the opportunity, Doyle immediately made a run into the space behind the defense before spotting Adriana breaking forward into open space. Doyle delivered the pass into stride, allowing Adriana to capitalize on the attacking sequence.
Following the match, Doyle reflected on the play:
“I saw Marta get it, and whenever Marta gets it on her left foot, that means I got to run into the backspace because I know that she can find me through, and that’s what she did. I saw Adriana had a ton of space in behind because they were really high, and Adriana is so fast, and I’m just like, all I have to do is get it to her, and I know that she’ll do great things.”
Orlando opened the scoring just 39 seconds into the match through Ally Watt. Manaka Matsukubo later scored for the Courage in the second half, but the Pride held on for the 2–1 victory as Orlando continued its late-season playoff push.

On Friday night at Exploria Stadium, the Orlando Pride secured a 1–0 victory over OL Reign behind an early attacking combination between Julie Doyle and Messiah Bright.
The decisive sequence came in the 15th minute when Kerry Abello played a leading ball into space for Doyle on the left flank. Doyle isolated her defender 1v1 and used a series of creative touches to open space before cutting to her right and delivering a curling service into the box. Bright timed her run perfectly and powered a header into the back of the net for the game-winning goal.
The assist marked Doyle’s third goal contribution across Orlando’s previous two matches following her brace against Washington the week prior. Goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse recorded two saves to preserve the clean sheet as the Pride secured all three points at home.

Orlando Pride forward Julie Doyle was named NWSL Player of the Week following her standout performance against the Washington Spirit. Doyle scored twice in the opening 16 minutes of Orlando’s 3–0 victory, recording the first brace of her NWSL career.
After missing a significant portion of the season due to an ankle injury, Doyle’s return added an important attacking spark for Orlando as the Pride entered the second half of the 2023 campaign.

WASHINGTON D.C. JUL 1, 2023
Julie Doyle led the way for the Orlando Pride against the Washington Spirit, recording the first brace of her NWSL career within the opening 16 minutes of the match.
Doyle’s first goal came in the eighth minute following a dangerous sequence inside the box. Kylie Strom delivered a cross to Haley McCutcheon, whose headed attempt was initially saved by Washington goalkeeper Nicole Barnhart. As the rebound dropped back into traffic, Doyle reacted first and struck a half-volley past a diving Barnhart to give Orlando a 1–0 lead.
Eight minutes later, Doyle struck again to complete the fastest brace in a regular-season NWSL match since August 2021. Erika Tymrak played Doyle into space down the left side, where Doyle isolated her defender 1v1 before cutting back to her right and curling a sliced finish into the far-side netting for Orlando’s second goal of the night.
In the second half, pressure from Ally Watt forced an own goal to secure Orlando’s 3–0 victory over Washington.

CHICAGO IL. MAY 27, 2023
Orlando Pride forward Julie Doyle returned to the pitch against the Chicago Red Stars after being removed from the 45-day disabled list. Doyle entered the match as a second-half substitute in the 61st minute, marking her first appearance since suffering an injury against Angel City FC in early April.
Just minutes after entering, Doyle nearly made an immediate impact. Mikayla Cluff delivered a long ball that found Doyle splitting two Chicago defenders. Doyle brought the ball down with one touch and forced a save from goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher, though the sequence was ultimately ruled offside.
Later in the match, Doyle chased down a ball near the end line and delivered a cross into the box for Ally Watt, whose shot narrowly missed the target. Orlando controlled much of the match and recorded a season-high 19 shots, but fell to Chicago 1–0.

The Orlando Pride signed Julie Doyle to a new two-year contract extension through the 2024 season.
Orlando Pride Vice President of Soccer Operations and General Manager Haley Carter praised Doyle’s impact on the club, highlighting her ability to challenge opposing back lines and create attacking opportunities while contributing to the culture being built within the organization.
Following the announcement, Doyle expressed excitement about continuing her development in Orlando and contributing to the club’s future success.
“I am very happy to continue my journey within a club and a team that will allow me to develop fully. I believe this organization is capable of achieving greatness, and I can’t wait to contribute to the team’s success.”
Doyle also thanked the Pride organization, supporters, and Orlando community for their continued support as she prepared to return to the field.

ORLANDO FL. APR 2, 2023
Julie Doyle sustained an ankle injury during Orlando’s home opener against Angel City FC. In the 19th minute, Doyle raced to settle a long ball near the sideline when Angel City defender Paige Nielsen challenged for the play, resulting in a yellow card.
Doyle was unable to continue following the sequence and exited the match due to the injury. Orlando later placed Doyle on the 45-day disabled list as the Pride forward began her rehabilitation process.
Doyle was encouraged by the support and well wishes she received from fans during her recovery.

ORLANDO FL. FEB 23, 2023
The Orlando Pride opened their preseason schedule with a 2–0 victory over the Kansas City Current during the club’s annual preseason friendly at Exploria Stadium.
Orlando struck quickly, opening the scoring just 40 seconds into the match. Messiah Bright carried the ball forward through midfield before finding Julie Doyle making a run behind the Kansas City back line. Doyle beat goalkeeper Jordan Silkowitz to the ball and forced the finish into the net to give the Pride an early 1–0 lead.
The Pride added a second goal in the 63rd minute when Summer Yates played a through ball into the path of Ally Watt, who shielded her defender and finished the sequence to secure Orlando’s preseason victory.

BRADENTON FL. FEB 18, 2023
The Orlando Pride opened the 2023 preseason with a 2–0 victory over Gotham FC during a closed-door friendly at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
Orlando struck early when Erika Tymrak scored in the third minute off an assist from Julie Doyle. Doyle later added a goal of her own in the 41st minute to secure the Pride’s second score of the afternoon and cap Orlando’s opening preseason victory.

ORLANDO FL. AUG 7, 2022
Julie Doyle entered the match in the 60th minute and made an immediate impact two minutes later. The sequence began when Celia Jiménez Delgado delivered an end-line pass to Doyle near the right side of the box. Doyle responded with a one-touch service toward Erika Tymrak near the six-yard area, but Tymrak’s attempt was blocked and cleared toward the top of the eighteen.
As Savannah McCaskill attempted to reset possession under pressure from Viviana Villacorta, Doyle stepped in to intercept the pass and immediately drilled a rocket shot into the upper-right corner of the net. The goal was officially recorded in the 63rd minute.
Doyle needed only three touches during the sequence, the cross, the interception, and the finish. Following the match, Pride supporters voted Doyle the club’s Player of the Match.

KANSAS CITY MO. JUL 31, 2022
Orlando doubled its lead moments into the second half during a fast-moving transition sequence against the Kansas City Current.
The play began immediately after the restart when Kerry Abello forced a turnover near midfield. Julie Doyle collected the loose ball, turned upfield, and played a through ball into the path of Abello near the edge of the penalty area. Kansas City goalkeeper Adrianna Franch came off her line to challenge the play, colliding with both Abello and defender Elizabeth Ball as the ball spilled loose inside the box.
Meggie Dougherty Howard reacted first to the rebound and quickly found Doyle making a central run between two defenders. Doyle met the service and finished the sequence for her first professional goal, extending Orlando’s lead to 2–0.

ORLANDO FL. MAY 27, 2022
In the seventh minute of stoppage time, Orlando found a dramatic late equalizer against the Washington Spirit.
The sequence began when Viviana Villacorta played a through ball into the path of Jordyn Listro. Washington initially blocked Listro’s cross, but the clearance fell to Julie Doyle near the top of the penalty area. Doyle settled the ball, dribbled laterally across the box, and drew multiple defenders toward her as she shaped for a potential shot.
Instead, Doyle delivered a far-post service that found Darian Jenkins unmarked on the back side of the play. Jenkins took a quick touch and finished past the Washington goalkeeper, saving a point for Orlando in a dramatic 2–2 draw.
As Doyle sprinted toward Jenkins to celebrate the goal, the final whistle sounded moments later at Exploria Stadium.

The Orlando Pride featured several young players in the starting lineup against the North Carolina Courage, including Julie Doyle, who recorded the first NWSL start of her professional career and made an immediate impact in Orlando’s attack.
Doyle played a key role in Orlando’s game-winning sequence, using her speed down the right flank to keep the ball in play near the end line. After beating her defender, Doyle slid to deliver a cross into the box toward Sydney Leroux near the top of the six-yard area. Leroux redirected the ball into the path of Mikayla Cluff, who finished between the diving goalkeeper and the far post for the decisive goal.

Julie Doyle made her professional debut for the Orlando Pride on Saturday night at Exploria Stadium during a Challenge Cup match against the North Carolina Courage.
Doyle entered the match in the 70th minute, officially marking the beginning of her professional career in the National Women’s Soccer League. The appearance represented an important milestone for the former Santa Clara standout after being selected by Orlando in the first round of the 2022 NWSL Draft.

The Orlando Pride officially signed Julie Doyle after selecting the former Santa Clara forward with the 11th overall pick in the first round of the 2022 NWSL Draft.
Doyle signed her first professional contract with Orlando on January 27, 2022, beginning her professional career in the National Women’s Soccer League.

Following a standout collegiate career at Santa Clara University, Julie Doyle officially declared for the 2022 NWSL Draft, becoming eligible for selection into the National Women’s Soccer League.
The declaration marked the next step in Doyle’s transition to the professional level after helping lead Santa Clara to the 2020 NCAA National Championship and establishing herself as one of the program’s key attacking players.
Due to COVID-era procedures, the 2022 NWSL Draft was conducted remotely and virtually on December 18, 2021.

ENGLAND, SEP 1, 2021
Following her collegiate career at Santa Clara University, Julie Doyle traveled to London, England, to train full-time with London City Lionesses in preparation for the professional level.
From September through December 2021, Doyle trained within the London City environment as she prepared for the upcoming NWSL Draft and the beginning of her professional career. The experience allowed Doyle to continue developing in a high-level environment abroad while adapting to a new setting and investing in her transition to the professional game.
