ORLANDO PRIDE
Julie Doyle is a professional soccer player. She plays for the Orlando Pride in the National Women's Soccer League. On December 18, 2021, Orlando Pride drafted the 5-foot-8 Santa Clara forward in the first-round, picked 11th overall during the 2022 NWSL Draft. Julie has signed three separate contracts with the Orlando Pride since joining the club. Her initial professional contract was signed on January 27, 2022. A new two-year contract was agreed in May of 2023, extending her through the 2024 season, and a three-year contract extension was signed in October 2024, keeping her under contract through the 2026 season.
STYLE OF PLAY
Julie made her Pride debut on April 16, 2022. She has proven to be a dynamic and versatile player, playing both in the attack and the midfield for Orlando. She occasionally plays the nine up top, but is primarily considered a winger. She seamlessly blends defensive awareness with sharp, creative combination play, while her intelligent off-the-ball movement consistently generates dangerous opportunities in the attacking third. Additionally, she excels in isolated 1v1 situations, is comfortable in tight spaces, and demonstrates decisive one-touch passing and finishing. NWSL NATIONAL CHAMPION
During a historic 2024 season that saw the Pride capture both the NWSL Championship and the Shield, Julie appeared in 25 regular-season matches, receiving 21 starts. She also featured in all three playoff matches and all three NWSL x Liga MX Femenil Summer Cup games. Across her professional career, Julie has made over 60 appearances for the Pride, recording 9 goals and 6 assists (15 goal contributions) across all competitions. NCAA NATIONAL CHAMPION
Before turning pro, Julie had an impressive collegiate career playing for four years at Santa Clara University. She earned All-West Region First Team, is a three-time All-WCC selection, and is an honored WCC All-Freshman. Named Team Co-Captain by Coach Jerry Smith in her senior year, Julie was an essential member of the Broncos' leadership team. US YOUTH NATIONAL TEAM
In addition to her professional and collegiate career, Julie has represented the United States at the U15, U18, U19, and U20 levels. Julie has attended fifteen domestic national team camps and eight international camps and has played twenty-one matches. In 2016 Julie was named an alternate to the U.S. 2016 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup Team. As a senior in high school, Julie traveled with the U20 World Cup Team to Australia and Papua New Guinea.
